Scott R. Taylor

Scott has been involved in an active civil trial litigation practice for over thirty years, has substantial experience representing clients in Texas state courts and federal courts and in several other jurisdictions.  His practice primarily focuses on civil and commercial litigation.  He has successfully represented a wide variety of litigants, including: individuals; insurance companies; manufacturers; premise owners; retailers; corporations; contractors; nursing homes; mental health institutions; common carriers; bars and restaurants; law enforcement agencies; municipalities; lawyers and law professors.  Scott has worked for a national law firm  handling large loss or catastrophic commercial accidents for subrogation purposes. Scott also has experience working as in-house or managing counsel for national and regional insurance carriers.

Activities & Honors:

During law school, Scott served as a staff member of the Tulsa Law Journal, and as member of the Tulsa Law School National Moot Court Team. Scott has also served as a volunteer judge and coach for various High School Mock Trial Competitions.

Admissions

Licensed to practice law in Texas, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and North Carolina; and has been admitted to practice in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Federal District Courts – Western and Southern Districts of Texas; Eastern, Northern, Western Districts of Oklahoma; Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina.

Professional Memberships:

State Bar of Texas, and former member of San Antonio Bar Association; and past member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel.
