Gerald Fackrell, III

Litigation Attorney

Gerald was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended high school in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, and studied history at Louisiana State University and civil law at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

Gerald has been a regional lawyer for over 25 years.  After passing the Louisiana bar exam, he moved to East Texas and expanded his career into real estate development and construction.  Thereafter, he passed the Texas and Mississippi bar exams by dividing time between jobsites and exam preparation. 

Gerald participated in the growth of business operations from East Texas into the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex and Louisiana.  In addition to the role of in-house counsel, he has practical experience as a construction executive, project manager, and superintendent.  He has operated between multiple states from the office, job sites, and the road. 

After his career in development and construction, Gerald operated in Baton Rouge as a solo practitioner where he focused on business, property, and personal injury matters.  He also worked on homeowners’ claims against the Louisiana Insurance Guaranty Association from Hurricanes Zeta and Ida.

Gerald is an experienced lawyer and business owner.  He is a former licensed Louisiana Contractor Qualifying Party and Title Insurance Producer.  His experience also includes prolonged, complex multi-state litigation.
