Melissa offers her clients the benefit of her eleven years of experience in civil litigation, and has first-chaired numerous bench and jury trials across Ohio and Texas. She practices in all types of civil disputes including personal injury, construction, premises liability, arbitration and subrogation.

Before joining the firm, Melissa gained extensive litigation and trial experience while working first as managing in-house counsel for a major insurer, and then as head litigation attorney for a major personal injury firm. As a result, she brings strategy from both sides of a dispute to her practice and is adept at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of a case.

Before moving to Texas in 2007 Melissa practiced in Ohio, focusing on employment law, estate planning, and juvenile law and child advocacy, in which she won multiple cases and appeals. Having worked so closely with cases involving clients’ families and careers, she knows that the outcome of every case is of vital importance and treats every case as significant. In addition to litigation services, Melissa offers her varied legal experience and exceptional communication skills to effectuate creative solutions as a mediator.
