Cathy has spent over twenty years in an active litigation practice, representing employers, governmental entities, corporations and individuals in a wide variety of commercial and civil matters, completing over twenty-five jury and non-jury trials. She presently focuses her practice on aggressively defending corporations and individuals in tort litigation, including product liability, construction defect, employer liability, and officer and director liability. In that capacity, she works to obtain the best result possible for her clients. Previously, she served as general counsel for a national private non-profit corporation, providing advice and counsel directly to the CEO and board of directors regarding corporate policy, litigation supervision, and general employment matters for seven years. In that capacity, Cathy developed an expertise in the unique circumstances non-profits face in today's market. Cathy's representation of employers in employment matters began over twenty years ago and in the ensuing time period, she has developed a depth of expertise in employment practices, including employee benefits, employment policies, employment claims, and separation agreements.
